The Fire TV Stick, as we all know, runs a heavily customised version of Android and does not support the majority of Google apps. On the Fire TV Stick, Google Chrome appears to function, despite the absence of the Google Play Service and Framework. So, simply read our guide below if you want to instal Chrome on a Fire TV Stick. The Chrome APK must be sideloaded onto Fire TV in order to complete the process. So let’s get started on that point.
Install Chrome on Fire TV Stick (2021)
1. Start by downloading the Chrome APK for Fire TV Stick from this link. Open the most recent version and download the APK version with the following specifications: arm64-v8a + armeabi-v7a, Android 7.0+, and nodpi. You can use this to get the most recent version of Chrome for your Fire TV.
2. If the preceding method is confusing to you, you may just download the Chrome APK from this page. For simplicity of access, I have uploaded Chrome 88 APK to Google Drive.
3. To complete the sideloading procedure, you must now adhere to our instructions on how to sideload Android apps on a Fire TV Stick. In a nutshell, you must use the Send Files to TV app to transfer the APK to your Fire TV before installing it with the Total Commander app. You only need to complete the first step of the linked guide to be ready.
4. Open Total Commander on your Fire TV and navigate to the Downloadfolder after you’ve transferred the APK. You can find the Chrome APK right here.
5. Select Install by clicking on it.
6. You must permit Total Commander to instal unknown apps on the following page.
7. Next, select Install once more.
8. When you finally open it, Chrome will be operating flawlessly on your Fire TV Stick. Chrome functions pretty well on Fire TV despite lacking Google Play Services and other essential components. Having said that, bear in mind that it does not operate well with a remote, much as Chrome on Android TV, therefore you must connect a mouse for simpler navigation.
Run Google Chrome on Fire TV Stick in 2021
So that’s how you can set up Google Chrome on Fire TV Stick and use it. Remember that there isn’t a Chrome for TV version available, so you’re simply using Chrome for smartphones. Everything went perfectly for me, with the exception of the remote navigation. That’s all we have to say, though.
