The latest Chromebooks may now run the Kodi app from the Google Play Store thanks to recent changes to Chrome OS. However, not all Chromebooks, especially the older ones, have Play Store support, or to put it another way, Android app support. Install Kodi On Chromebook
We’ll go through three distinct approaches in this article for installing Kodi on Chromebooks. A Chromebook that supports Google Play Store is required for the first technique. Install Kodi on Chromebook From the Google Play Store
1. On your Chromebook, launch the Google Play Store and look up Kodi. Install it after that just like you would any other app.
2. Open it after the installation is finished and give the required permission.
3. You may now add your media sources and use it similarly to Windows or other platforms by adding them. The good news is that there are no restrictions on the installation of add-ons, Kodi repositories, or anything else.
4. If your Chromebook does not have Google Play Store, open Settings and select the hamburger menu in the top-left corner.
5. Select Google Play Store from the menu.
6. To enable the Google Play Store on your Chromebook, click the Turn on option in this section.
Install Kodi on Chromebook without the Google Play Store
Although Play Store support for Chromebooks is increasingly common, some older models still do not allow Android apps. You shouldn’t be concerned if your gadget is one of them. There are some cool alternatives to using the Play Store to run Kodi on a Chromebook. Here’s how to go about it.
For the purpose of converting an Android app to a Chrome OS-compatible app, we are using the development tool ARC Welder. Due to the fact that it is being utilised for testing, there may be lag and general performance concerns.
APK file for Kodi can be downloaded from the official website in step 1.
To choose your Chromebook’s build, click Android.
Install the Cog (Free) extension to find out the build of your Chromebook if you’re unsure which one to select.
2. Next, add the ARC Welder (Free) Chrome Web Store extension. Contrary to other Chrome extensions, this one has a large, 200 MB file size, so be patient while downloading it.
3. Once the installation is complete, open ARC Welder and select the Choose option.
4. Next, click the Open option after choosing the directory where the Kodi APK was downloaded.

5. Next, select Add your APKon ARC Welder.
6. Next, click the Open option after selecting the Kodi APK file. Processing the APK file will take some time.

Install Kodi on Chromebook as a Chrome Extension
Ensure that Tablet form factor and Landscape orientation are both chosen.
Lastly, press the Test button.
8. Kodi will immediately start up, although it can take a while for it to fully load. Your Chromebook should eventually run Kodi without any issues.
You must manually add the APK each time you want to use Kodi over the ARC Welder, then test it.

Note:When testing the Kodi APK file on the ARC Welder, all the files required for developing an extension are created in a special folder. To construct a Kodi extension, we’ll use the exported folder from ARC Welder. Therefore, before moving on to this phase, make sure you complete the APK testing process described above.
