It has already established itself in its home country and is now making its way into Europe, thanks to its cars and battery exchange stations that can recharge electric cars in five minutes or less. This progress has been aided by recent funding from Brussels.
Nio’s Expanding Range
Nio’s range is ever-expanding, with the ES8, ES7 (EL7 in Europe) and the ET7, which we had the opportunity to drive a few months ago. Recently, the manufacturer also unveiled the EC6. Now, they have added another model to their catalog – the ES6 electric SUV, which will compete with the Tesla Model Y.

The ES6 was announced on Nio’s Weibo page, a Chinese equivalent of Facebook. It has a price tag of around 50,000 euros and is equipped with a LiDAR sensor and a robust battery. This could give the Tesla Model Y a run for its money.
